We cannot believe its true, but we are already in the third month of 2011 and so it becomes more apparent that we will have to plan ahead if we want anything done this year!! That is why the newsletter will be taking a new form. Instead of just informing you on what is happening at Blue Bay Lodge, we will also add a few fun events happening in and around the West Coast.

But before we get into that, let us begin with what we have planned for March.

We have Robin Auld here at Blue Bay Lodge on the 18^th of March. Tickets are R60.00 per person and will be sold at the door, although reservations are essential as it is in the restaurant and we only have limited amount of seats and tables available. The show starts at 8pm till late. The weekend of the 18^th is a loooong weekend, so what better way to kick it off than to listen to some good Blues music while enjoying a fantastic meal and bottle of wine in our panoramic restaurant. Then, on the 19^th of March you can dust away the blues and take part in the West Coast Marathon – 42.2 km, 21.1 km and 5km Fun run. Entries close on 14 March, enter at http://www.strandlopers.co.za

Then you can come join the festivities at the Rapport Mykonos Music Festival from the 25-27 March 2011. With lots to choose from such as food stalls, arts & crafts, stalls, sports, a beer tent and great music to entertain the whole family! Contact number 022 707 7000. So why not book a self catering unit for you and a few friends at Blue Bay Lodge for the weekend and be part of the Mykonos festivities only 8km away. Sounds to me like the perfect weekend breakaway!

Talking about weekend breakaways, for those who want to go away for the Easter weekend we recommend that you start thinking about it and book as soon as possible! With the 505 Western Cape Provincial sailing race happening in Saldanha Bay over the weekend of 22-25 April, Saldanha Bay becomes a spectacular place to be!
